We bet that you did not even know it, but you probably already own a few costumes for Halloween! All you need is to open your closet.

Here you will find a list of five Halloween costumes that can be put together with the help of items that people already have on hand. If there are items you need that you do not already own, borrow them from your friend or pick them up with a quick trip to the local store.

Tourist Halloween Costumes. Most people own Hawaiian shirts. To create a perfect Halloween look, wear some Bermuda shorts, carry a camera around your neck, put on a visor, and slip into sandals on your feet and you are ready.

For a funny effect, stuff the butt of your shorts. Get some tickets and brochures to stuff in your pockets and go to trick-or-treat!

Gypsy Halloween Costumes. To create this look, put on your funkiest colors. Women have to layer two or more skirts on top of each other, wear a peasant blouse, and add lots of jewelry.

Men have to get into loose pants tucked into footwear and an unbuttoned shirt to show off a few gold necklaces. If you have a visor, put it on as well. Go with boots on your feet or barefoot to make your outfit look even funnier!

Pirate Halloween Costumes. Tie a bandana. Put on boots, but if you do not want ones, then wrap dark-colored fabric around your lower leg and flap it over at the top to make boot tops. Women have to wear a skirt with a ragged bottom.

Men have to either tuck a pair of loose pants into their boots, or cut the bottom into a ragged edge. Put on a loose shirt unbuttoned at the top and a vest that can be easily made by cutting up an old shirt. For a belt, wrap a piece of fabric around your waist.

Cowboy Halloween Costumes. Most people have jeans in their closets. If you are lucky to own some kind of western or plaid shirt and boots, your chances are very good.

If you are able to get your hands on a cowboy hat, your pirate costume is going to be perfect. Finish your outfit with some accessories like a gun belt, bandana, lasso, chaps, or vest.

Nerd Halloween Costumes. This is one of the easiest costumes ever. For this look, wear your clothes a size too small, with your pants pulled up too high, and a shirt buttoned all the way up.

White high socks and a pair of grandpa shoes are inherent part of this costume. To look extra-geeky, add gel in your hair, a pocket protector, and fake zits.
