Designs that were projected or realised for "The Pretenders" of Henrik Ibsen and Produced at the Royal Theatre Copenhagen, 1926. By Edward Gordon Craig. dedicated to His Majesty Christian X King of Denmark. Edward Gordon Craig tells the story of his travels in Denmark, the work on the sets and costumes and the rehearsals and production. Watercolour, chalk and gouache drawings are carefully reproduced in facsimile.
